Music Together
We are partnering with Music Together Tamalpais to offer a FREE class. Matthew, the owner of Woander, went through this music program with his own kids and highly recommends it.
From babyhood through the early elementary years, Music Together nurtures each child’s natural musicality in a playful, musically rich learning environment. Our research-based music classes are designed to be non-formal and non-performance oriented, so your child can learn at his or her own pace, in a way that’s developmentally appropriate.
This class will be taught by multi instrumentalist Spencer Evans.
Please come to this free class and see if it’s right for you and your child.

Animal Mask Camp
Calling all young creators, performers, and daydreamers! At Woander World Animal Mask Camp, kids ages 8–14 will dive into the world of storytelling through hands-on artistry and performance. From crafting wild and whimsical paper mâché masks to developing original characters and learning the art of masks and improv, every day is packed with imagination and magic.
Mornings will be spent designing and building one-of-a-kind masks —using paper mâché, paint, fabric, and found materials to bring creatures and characters to life. With guidance from expert teaching artists, kids will explore the fundamentals of visual storytelling and expressive design.
In the afternoons, the stage is set for creative exploration through improvisation, group theater games, and guided storytelling sessions. Campers will step into character, collaborate on scenes, and rehearse for a final performance that showcases their unique creations and stories.
And because it’s summer, we’ll make sure to get outside for playful games like Mirror Tag, Creature Capture, and Theater Freeze Dance in the fresh air of the nearby park.
By the end of the week, each camper will have a handcrafted mask, a fully imagined character, and a role in a collaborative final performance shared with friends and families!

Mill Valley Art Walk
We’re thrilled to be hosting a special reception for Chuck Whelon, the illustrator behind our Wylding Woods characters! Join us between 3:30–7:30pm to meet Chuck in person, explore his original artwork (available for sale), and pick up one of his fun and imaginative books for kids. It’s a great opportunity for aspiring artists—Chuck will be signing any books purchased during the event, and sharing a bit about his creative process with anyone curious about what it’s like to be a working illustrator.
Chuck Whelon creates comics, games, books, and more. He created the webcomic “Pewfell: The Worst Wizard on Urf”, which was one of the charter strips on ModernTales.com, and is currently running on Instagram @pewfell. He has written several series of activity books for Dover Publications, illustrated boardgames for Minion Games, and produced a set of seasonal search-and-find books that have been published worldwide. Since 2004, he has drawn covers, cartoons, maps, and monsters for Goodman Games. In 2020 I published “Urfspace: Cartoons of the Future“, a collection of sci-fi themed cartoons. There are now also three Urfspace™ art books and a music album: “The Future Sounds of Urfspace“, featuring original tracks from international artists, including cartoon band “Astrokitty and the Urfspace 5”.
